Chicago Jazz Ensemble Presents Lalo Shifrin November 2, 2007

The Chicago Jazz Ensemble presents four-time Grammy-winner and six-time Oscar nominee Lalo Schifrin. An extraordinary composer, conductor and pianist recognized worldwide, his work combines the best of Jazz and orchestral creations, from his early innovations 'Gillespiana' and 'The New Continent' to his dynamic work scoring for over 100 films and television programs (including 'Mission Impossible,' 'Cool Hand Luke,' 'Mannix,' 'Enter the Dragon' and 'Rush Hour') and his continued explorations in his Jazz Meets the Symphony recordings. At the Harris Theater, Schifrin and Faddis join forces to present Schifrin's 'Latin Jazz Suite' with The Chicago Jazz Ensemble.
