Chicago Golden Gloves March 11, 2010

Since 1923, the Chicago Golden Gloves boxing tournament has been one of the great traditions of sport in one of the greatest cities in America. Just a few of the boxers who have won the prestigious “Chicago Golden Gloves Champion” title include Joe Louis (’34), Sonny Liston (’53), Cassius Clay (’59, ’60) and numerous US Olympians.

More than 350 boxers between the ages of 16 and 34 are expected to compete over 12 nights at St. Andrews, 1658 W. Addison in Chicago.
