Shake the Lake Musical Festival is an annual fundraiser hosted by Chicago Bear, Greg Olsen, to help raise money for breast cancer research. In 2009, Olsen founded non-profit Receptions For Research: The Greg Olsen Foundation (www.receptionsforresearch.org), in honor of his mother, a breast cancer survivor. Since its inception, RFR looks to support various types of organizations who are dedicated to raising awareness and providing hospitals, doctors and researchers the necessary and most updated resources to treat cancer.
Shake the Lake 2010 will feature music by country artists Matt Kennon and Grammy Award winner Darius Rucker. US 99’s ‘Ramblin Ray’ will emcee the evening with proceeds from ticket sales benefitting the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation and Susan Komen Foundation.
Last year’s inaugural Shake the Lake event was a huge success featuring music by David Nail and Keith Anderson and raising over $50,000 for charity.
