Described by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer as "vastly talented, vastly resourceful, and vastly committed to the music of their time," the Chiara Quartet will perform at the First Unitarian Universalist Church as part of the 15th Annual Austin Chamber Music Festival on July 17 (Sunday), at 7.30pm. The Chiara String Quartet has captivated audiences with their insightful interpretations of new music and fresh takes on traditional string quartet repertoire. Establishing themselves amongst America’s most respected ensembles, Chiara has also been lauded by The Boston Globe for their “highly virtuosic, edge-of-the-seat playing”. The program includes Haydn’s String Quartet in C Major, Op. 54, No. 2, Michael Torke’s Chalk, and Brahms’ String Quartet No. 2 in A Minor, Op. 51.
