Chestnut Hill College will show the film “Journey of the Universe” on Monday, November 7 at 6 p.m. in the East Parlor of St. Joseph Hall.
“Journey of the Universe” follows cosmic, earth and human transformation. The dramatic, expansive film re-imagines the creation of the universe and reframes the human connection to the cosmos. “Journey,” created by a renowned team of scientists, scholars and award-winning filmmakers, was filmed on the Greek island of Samos, where Pythagoras, the mathematician who created the Pythagorean theorum was born.
There will be a panel discussion following the documentary featuring Margie Thompson, SSJ, MFA, associate professor of art at Chestnut Hill College and Edward Devinney, Ph.D, Adjunct Professor of Astronomy at Villanova University. For more information, contact Kathleen Duffy, SSJ at 215.248.7197 or kduffy@chc.edu.
