Chestnut Hill College will celebrate its newly acquired “All-Steinway” status with a Performathon that will take place Friday, May 20 through Sunday, May 22 in the East Parlor.
The Performathon, sponsored by Jacobs Music and hosted by the College, will bring young musicians from the local area to play for the public and raise funds for the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House charity. This event, which is open to the public, is estimated to raise more than $25,000 for Ronald McDonald House. During the Performathon, participating music students will have the opportunity to play two limited-edition Steinway pianos: the Walden Woods piano and a John Lennon “Imagine” Series Piano. The Performathon is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Kathleen McCloskey, SSJ, at 215.248.7194 or e-mail kmcclosk@chc.edu.
