The Chestnut Hill College Music Department presents “Fiddler on the Roof” on April 3-4, at 7:30 p.m. and April 4-5 at 2:30 p.m. in the College Auditorium located at 9601 Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia.
Chestnut Hill’s spring musical, based off the Tony award-winning story, takes the audience back to Tsarist Russia in the 1900s where we meet Tevye the milkman, his wife and family of five daughters. This classic story unfolds as Tevye struggles to uphold his religious traditions and understand the choices of his daughters as they marry and move further from religious customs, while outside forces slowly dominate and eventually force them from their home. The recipient of nine Tony Awards and one of the longest running shows on Broadway, audiences still delight in the music and dancing of “Fiddler” that is appropriate for all ages.
Tickets are $10 for general admission, $5 for senior citizens, and $3 for students with I.D. For reservations, call 215.753.3796.
