A long standing tradition at Chestnut Hill College, the 33rd annual Carol Night will take place on Friday, December 4, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rotunda of St. Joseph Hall. The College campus is located at 9601 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia.
This holiday celebration includes student performances by the Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, the Hill Singers, Brass Quintet, Gospel Choir, and The Roasted Chestnuts. The program will include a lively selection of songs of the holiday season in strings, horn, jazz, gospel and doo-wop. The concert also features a visit from Frosty the Snowman and of course, Santa Claus.
In keeping with College tradition, the Rotunda and campus will be decorated for the holiday season, courtesy of the undergraduate classes of Chestnut Hill. This holiday decorating tradition, celebrating its 82nd year, was started by the first graduating class at Chestnut Hill College in 1927.
