Cherub Improv Celebrates City of Water Day July 14, 2012

On Saturday, July 14th from 10am-4pm Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance (MWA) is sponsoring City of Water Day at Governor’s Island. The day presents a variety of fun, family-friendly activities to be enjoyed by children and adults of any age. One of the highlights: Cherub Improv. The improvisation comedy troupe is a non-profit organization that travels the tri-state area putting on performances and workshops at facilities where residents usually don’t have the opportunity to attend offsite performances, and puts a smile on their faces! On this day Cherub Improv will be conducting musical workshops and comedy shows for the children of the City of Water Day. The kids can enjoy working with their peers by being creative by learning the basic principles of improv with the Cherub troupe. Cherub will encourage the children to think on their feet by leading them in skits and songs all based on their suggestions. http://www.cherubimprov.org
