Cherryholmes Heads to the Grammy’s After Houston Performance Friday Night
7:30 pm, Friday, February 6, 2009
Wortham Center's Cullen Theater
For one night only on the Cullen Theatre stage, Cherryholmes will perform songs from their Grammy Award-nominated albums, Cherryholmes and Cherryholmes II: Black and White. It’s all in the family with this Grammy-nominated mom/dad/four siblings bluegrass band who swiftly rose to worldwide fame in just six short years. They started playing music together in 1999, and by 2005, they were named “Entertainer of the Year” at the International Bluegrass Music Awards.
The evening will provide a high-energy performance showcasing the group’s incredible harmonizing and playing of the upright bass, mandolin, banjo, fiddle, and guitar. Soon after their performance, they head to Los Angeles for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards that will be held Feb. 8, 2009.
