Los Angeles Buzz artist Chris Pierce announces West Coast Tour Dates - Coming Soon To Santa Cruz!
?An Artist You Ought To Know? ? Los Angeles Times
Los Angeles ? November 28, 2005 ? Acclaimed Folk, Rock and Soul vocalist Chris Pierce will be heading out for a west coast tour along with tour mates Charlotte Martin and Andrew Paul Woodworth, all with newly released albums. The tour will begin in Southern California and head up through Oregon and Washington hitting notorious venues along the way.
After opening for SEAL throughout the US and Europe this summer, California underground music legend Chris Pierce returned to the West Coast just in time to promote his latest release, Static Trampoline. He mixes his coffee-rich voice and positive message with elements of soul, reggae, blues, folk and rock, placing him among today?s best singer songwriters. Static Trampoline is already being compared to classic recordings from Bill Withers, Jimmy Cliff, Van Morrison, and Otis Redding. Billboard magazine states that there is no discounting Bill Withers influence on a string of contemporary artists, including Chris Pierce, Raul Midon, and John Mayer. Static Trampoline contains the single, ?Are You Beautiful," and was featured on the soundtrack for this summer?s blockbuster film, Crash starring Sandra Bullock, Don Cheadle and Matt Dillon. In addition, the song was the theme for Banana Republic?s ad campaign for the Bravo's hit series Project Runway. The LA Times recently featured Chris Pierce as one of ten artists you should know. Now is your chance!
You won?t want to miss this tour!
Charlotte Martin, Chris Pierce and Andrew Paul Woodworth will be in Santa Cruz at Moe's Alley (1535 Commercial Way) on Dec. 6! Doors open at 8pm; $8 in advance/$10 at the door.
