Charlotte Symphony: Grieg May 6, 2011

The extraordinary pianist Stephen Hough returns to the CSO to perform the ever-popular Grieg Piano Concerto in this Scandinavian celebration. Grieg's incidental music to Ibsen's play Peer Gynt, featuring the well-known "Morning Mood" and "In the Hall of the Mountain King," opens the program, with "Finlandia" composer Sibelius's Second Symphony bringing the Classics season to a finale.
