Soprano Charlotte Mundy and pianist Christopher Goddard perform Berg's 'Seven Early Songs' and Piano Sonata Op.1, along with arrangements of early songs by Dirty Projectors' Dave Longstreth. Berg's early works, written at the turn of the twentieth century, straddle the boundary between romantic and modern music, and Longstreth's songs, written 100 years later, spring from the cracks between art and pop music. Soprano Charlotte Mundy is a skilled interpreter of modern masterpieces and has premiered dozens of new compositions, many of them written specifically for her. Christopher Goddard is a Canadian pianist and composer currently based in New York City.
