Charlie Hunter - Artist in Residence February 18, 2007

Taught at an early age by Joe Satriani and ambitiously attempting to achieve a bass and guitar sound from his eponymous 1993 debut onward, Charlie Hunter never fails to impress. Completing a instrumental remake of Bob Marley's Natty Dread album in it's entirety is just the start of some of this Bay Area native's unique contirbutions to the jazz world, as well as his recent recordings for Ropeadope and collaborations with Bobby Previte, DJ Logic, & Greg Osby in Groundtruther. Charlie has also collaborated with Mike Dillion, Skerik and Stanton Moore to form the critically acclaimed, Garage a Trois.
