Charles Mingus' Epitaph May 16, 2007

The legendary bass player's magnum opus "Epitaph" is performed by a stellar 31-piece orchestra. At its World premiere at Lincoln Center in 1989, The New York Times called it "the jazz event of the decade." This performance will also premiere a previously missing section from the piece.
