Charles Hobbs: Secret Passage May 14, 2009

This is a new interactive installation that captivates the viewer - literally. Upon entrance, a wooden sculpture of a smashed gate bisects the space, twisted and distorted. Ink drawings hang on the wall, and music from a theremin fades in and out. As unsuspecting visitors pass through the gallery, a gate suspended from above moves across the entrance, trapping them within the space.
