Charity Happy Hour at Spank April 10, 2008

Hey All- I can't wait for this one. Our April Happy Hour will be at Spank, the lounge above 1223. If you haven't been to Spank, it is is a beautiful, stylish venue, truly one of the gems of DC, but often missed because it's overshadowed by Club 1223 below. We will be supporting a wonderful charity this time, "Feed the Children". This is an international, nonprofit relief organization that delivers food, medicine, clothing and other necessities to individuals, children and families who lack these essentials due to famine, war, poverty, or natural disaster. We'll be requesting (but never requiring) $5-$10 donations at the door, of which 80% will go to "Feed the Children", and the remaining 20% will go towards Meetup expenses.

New meetup members- don't be shy to come out alone! if you've never been to one of our events before, these Happy Hours are a great place to start. We will have greeters at the top of the stairs when you enter. You will be met with a warm "hello" and provided a nametag. We all where nametags to facilitate the mingling and interaction. We will also have an ice-breaker to help you meet new people. This is not a "singles" event, just people looking to get out and have good time in new social circles.

Spank is located in Dupont Circle, *ABOVE* Club 1223. The closest metro stop is Dupont Circle on the Red Line.
