Charity Happy Hour at Modern! March 13, 2009

We'll be benefiting DC Cool Cities (http://www.coolcities.com ) and Cool Capital Challenge (http://www.coolcapital.com)... organizations that help institutions, businesses, and members of the public reduce D.C.'s greenhouse gas emissions... suggested $5 or $10 donation. Please note 80% of donations go to Cool Cities DC, 20% of donations go to the 20s & 30s Going Out Group to cover meetup fees and expenses. The following groups will be joining us so far:

20s & 30s Girls in DC

DJ Teng will be spinning loungy groovy beats for us. Our happy hours typically bring out 150 - 250 folks... and I wouldn't be surprised with a similar turnout this time around. Must be 21+. For those that haven't been there before, Modern features low couches, a deep sunken bar surrounded by ottomans, and shimmering white curtains. See www.modern-dc.com

To help continue the friendly tone of this group... I'd like to again encourage each person to have a GOAL OF MEETING 3 NEW PEOPLE at this event. To help do this, for an icebreaker, we'll put your name in a jar as you walk in, and then give you someone else's name from the jar. Also, 20s & 30s Rockstars, please help make all the newcomers feel welcome to our group!

Closest Metro is Rossyln (Orange and Blue lines), ~15 minute walk across Key bridge. Suggest metro / cabbing it (esp. during rush hour), recommend using wmata for travel plans.
