The alternative Dixieland band, Boston’s Chandler Travis Philharmonic, will perform at the Berkeley branch (30 Station Drive) of the Ocean County Library at 7 p.m. Friday, May 16.
The concert, a special “Welcome Summer Party,” will feature jazz, rock, R&B and New Wave music.
Guitarist and singer Chandler Travis combines a mixture of humor with incisive songwriting and has shared the stage with such performers as Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen, Green Day, NRBQ and George Carlin.
The Philharmonic has toured around the country including New Orleans, New York City, Chicago and Johnstown, Pa.
Their latest CD, “Tarnation and Alastair Sim” was released last June. It is their third studio album.
