Champagne Campaign
2008 Live & Silent Auction
Friday, March 14, 2008 6–9 p.m.
Pritzker Military Library
610 N. Fairbanks Court, 2nd Floor
Chicago, IL 60611
Tickets $25, RSVP required
Refreshments will be served (including champagne, of course).
The auction is being held to support our schedule of free public events on military history, held for live audiences at the library and broadcast on both television and the Internet. Items for auction range from the historic to the high-tech: rare posters & themed lots of autographed books, fully-stocked iPods & a flight in a combat jet – with plenty in-between.
The name refers to a 1944 campaign in southern France, which – having followed a brutal campaign in dark, cold forests to the north – was full of wine, dancing, and merriment.
Tickets can be bought online at http://www.pritzkermilitarylibrary.org/auction.jsp, or by calling (312) 587-0234.
