Challenge Party - Support Arts and Culture August 18, 2009

The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, through the Community Foundation Challenge – Arts & Culture, is providing up to $1 million to match general operating gifts made online at www.cfsem.org to support participating arts and cultural organizations, including six Washtenaw County arts and cultural organizations. (A match of $1 will be provided for every $2 contributed online.)

Come celebrate and support your local Washtenaw County arts and cultural sector! Stop by Sweetwaters Cafe to donate, mingle, and have fun. Please B.Y.O.L. (Bring Your Own Laptop)

Donations must be made online at www.cfsem.org starting at 10a.m. It is estimated that all of the $1 million matching funds will be exhausted within the first hour - so come early and stay late. We will be having an hourly raffle for great prizes!

This event is being hosted by all the Washtenaw County arts and cultural organizations participating in the Community Foundation $1 million Challenge. Organizations eligible to receive donations of $25 - $10,000 include: The Arts Alliance; Leslie Science and Nature Center; Performance Network Theatre; Purple Rose Theatre Company; University Musical Society; University of Michigan – Museum of Art and Exhibit Museum of Natural History.
