CEU Seminar: Prevention and Treatment of Eating Disorders August 24, 2012

Offered by Salt Lake Behavioral Health. The University of Utah SPEAK Team (Students Promoting Eating Disorder Awareness and Knowledge) including Juliann Cook, LCSW; Maya Miyairi, MS; Sue Connor, PhD; and Kary Woodruff, MS, RD; will present the standards of care for those with eating disorders with an emphasis on evidenced based treatment interventions such as CBT and DBT. The use of a multi-disciplinary team approach will be described with special focus on the role of the dietitian in the recovery process. A panel of women will share their stories of "what worked" in their recovery process. National and community resources will be provided. Free breakfast.
