Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Workshop - Sydney November 2, 2011

This is an intensive Product Owner workshop for participants with a basic understanding of Scrum prior to this course. Graduates will receive the CSPO designation.

The Product Owner role is critical to maximising Return on Investment from agile projects and is one of the most challenging and rewarding agile roles. The Product Owner guides the Scrum team as the voice of "what to build" representing Customers as well as Business and Development staff. Strong Product Ownership is key to successful Scrum transformations.

In this course Product Owners will gain a solid understanding of their role and responsibilities as well as the knowledge, skills and tools to work effectively with Scrum teams. A highly effective combination of facilitator presentation, group exercises and discussion will be used to develop an in depth understanding of the Product Owner role.

About the Trainer
This course is taught by Simon Bennett a Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer with over 20 years real-world experience in software and hardware development, and Chair of the Product Owner Panel at the Munich Scrum Gathering.
From 2008 through 2010 Simon was also the Product Owner for the Scrum for Team System TFS process template.
Simon has considerable experience in organisational agile adoption, large scale Scrum and using Scrum in an offshore environment, as well as successfully blending Scrum with other methods including UCD. Over the last 12 years have been focused on using Agile frameworks and methods including Scrum, XP, Crystal & Kanban.
His wealth of experience and passion for Product Ownership brings a unique depth and flavour to the course, as students will learn from real world case studies rather than only theory and simulations.
With regard to delivery, Simon is also a seasoned trainer with over two decades of experience, and a regular speaker at major international conferences.
