Central Virginia Wine Festival June 20, 2009

DUE TO THE HEAT ADVISORY FOR SATURDAY, EACH PERSON IS ALLOWED TO BRING 2 UNOPENED BOTTLES OF WATER TO THE FESTIVAL (MAXIMUM OF 20oz EACH) Water will also be available for sale by the food vendors and at the alumni tent. This award-winning scholarship fund raising event is hosted and organized by the Virginia Tech Alumni Association-Richmond Chapter. There will be 14 wineries from around Virginia; live entertainment by Copper Sails, Jubeus, The Escorts, and Pennyshaker; food, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages; and specialty-item vendors. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the gate for wine tasters 21 and older (this ticket includes tastings from all 14 wineries and a souvenir wine glass). General admission is $5 for those 18 and older. Children under 18 are free. This event is held rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable -- no exceptions. All proceeds go to scholarship and program funds for Virginia Tech students.
