Come and enjoy a royal celebration at the 26th Annual Central Coast Renaissance Festival on July 17 & 18. This popular event is held in beautiful El Chorro Regional Park, off Highway 1, between San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay.
Over 800 costumed actors, vendors and historical re-enactors will turn normally tranquil El Chorro Regional Park into an Elizabethan village pulsing with excitement at the arrival of Queen Elizabeth and her Royal Court.
Guests are treated to non-stop entertainment on stages and in the streets. Will Shakespeare will be showing his play Merry Wives of Windsor (with a twist), and there is music, dance, juggling, comedy, storytelling, strolling musicians, fencing lessons, military drills, living history demonstrations and games for all ages. A professional full-contact joust is held twice daily to the delight of young and old.
Visitors can feast on delicious food and drink, and over 70 vendors offer unique Renaissance arts and crafts to tempt the most demanding shoppers.
Hours are 10 AM - 6 PM on Saturday and until 5 PM on Sunday. Adult tickets are $17, seniors and ages 6-15 are $10. Tickets and discount coupons are available online. Under age 6 are free. Parking at Cuesta College is $1.00 per car.
