The Joint Annual Meeting brings together five Societies in an unprecedented joint technical program featuring papers from all geological disciplines and the soil, agronomic, and crop sciences. Each participating Society approached the formation of sessions in a different manner. The Joint Program Committee ensured the final program is cohesive and all-encompassing.
The meeting features 10 overarching themes which cross disciplines and are of interest to all meeting attendees, regardless of society affiliation. These overarching themes drive the plenary sessions, with invited speakers, and the joint technical interdisciplinary sessions cosponsored by GSA, SSSA-ASA-CSSA, and GCAGS.
The meeting offers 31 interdisciplinary sessions cosponsored by GSA, SSSA-ASA-CSSA, and GCAGS. Topics covered in this exciting series include biofuels production, Aeolian research, emerging contaminants in water/soils/sediments, impacts of energy development on water resources, soil physics and Vadose Zone hydrology, and many more.
In addition to the technical, scientific sessions, short courses, and field trips, there will be many other events taking place at the Joint Annual Meeting, some for all attendees (Joint) and some specific to one or more Society. Some events may require an additional registration fee. Please use the menu on the right to access descriptions of joint and individual Society plenary and technical sessions, events, field trips, tours, and short courses. More detailed information may be found in the Program.
