Celebrate the Tomato Harvest ~ Dinner with Lou Pappas

Celebrate the height of the tomato season with Lou Pappas at a participatory dinner in the Carriage House and learn tomato growing tips from a local pro, Dave Kline, who raises 65 tomato varieties. The menu features smoked salmon tartar, white bean and olive pate, heirloom tomatoes with basil and shaved parmesan, chicken rolls fontina, tri-color potatoes with rosemary, and sugar snap peas. For dessert, almond souffle cake and a trio of gelati. Dinner will be accompanied by wine. Bring an apron!

Lou Pappas is a popular author of over fifty cookbooks. She has taught many cooking classes at Gamble Garden, covering everything from appetizers to desserts. She enthusiastically grows many of her own vegetables and fruits at her home in Palo Alto. Dave Kline, a home gardener, raises 65 tomato varieties and is a wine connoisseur and an accomplished cook.
