Bangkok Joe’s is hosting its annual Songkran celebration from Monday, April 13th through Sunday, April 19th. In honor of the Thai New Year, guests will partake in the ancient Songkran water ceremony while devouring some of Thailand’s most traditional dishes, which are meant to provide longevity and good health.
Additionally, in conjunction with the Royal Thai Embassy and the second annual Thai Restaurant week, restaurant guests will be able to enter for the chance to win a free trip to Thailand, with accommodations, a cooking class, and spa services or gift certificates all included.
Bangkok Joe’s Songkran menu features traditional Thai dishes like Meang-Kum, which is usually only available in a private home and is one of Thailand’s oldest hors d’oeuvres recipes, made with shrimp, toasted coconut, ginger, shallots, roasted peanuts, lime and Thai pepper, served on collard green bites with lemon grass-coconut-palm sugar sauce. In addition, Kao Soi Noodles will be offered, a popular Chiang Mai curried noodle dish with shrimp and longevity noodles with a touch of coconut milk, shallots, sour cabbage, bean sprouts and scallions.
The full menu is below and on Bangkok Joe’s website.
