The program is free and open to the public. Registration is not required. Limited parking is available in the Central Library garage at the regular rates. The program is geared toward children ages 5 and older.South Park artist Amaranta Ibarra will talk about the history and significance of the penacho in Mexican culture. Penachos are Aztec headdresses worn by performers in traditional dances. Ibarra will help children make their own penacho to take home.
