In what has become the premiere art auction in southwestern Pennsylvania, Persad Center’s “Celebrate Life, Celebrate Art” auction and reception will be held at the Carnegie Museum of Art in Oakland on Monday, May 11 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Pittsburgh broadcasting legend Lynn Cullen will serve as the celebrity auctioneer for this year’s event.
“Celebrate Life, Celebrate Art” brings together the work of nearly 200 local, regional and international artists who donate original art and sculpture for a strolling cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception and a live and silent auction. Since its inception in 1988, the auction has raised more than $3.1 million for Persad’s Free Care Fund.
