A FREE, family-friendly event
Earth Day 2009 will offer Houstonians a free, family event with opportunities to learn about earth-friendly products from local companies and organizations and recycling opportunities in Houston. Have fun with activities such as face painting and making crafts from recycled materials. Some of the day's activities will include:
Kids' zip line
Face painting
Crafts from recycled materials
Live bluegrass music
Organic food samples
Earth-friendly vendors
Solar cars
Arboretum Movie Night - For Arboretum Members Only
Friday, April 17: 7-9 p.m.
Bring a blanket and a picnic and cozy up with your loved one on the Alice Brown Lawn for an evening under the stars. In celebration of Earth Day, we will be showing Planet Earth's FORESTS.
