VanDusen Cedar Series Lecture, Introducing the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, with Kim Woolcock, Outreach & Exhibits Manager, Beaty Diversity Museum in Floral Hall at 7:30 p.m. By late spring of 2010, the University of British Columbia’s rich biological collections will be housed in the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, a new museum dedicated to enhancing the public's understanding and appreciation of biodiversity. More than two million specimens of plants, insects, fish, vertebrates, fungi and fossils will showcase our province’s stunning natural history. Kim Woolcock explains the genesis of this exciting project and describes the impressive collections that will be housed within. Tickets: in advance from the Administration Office or, subject to availability, at the door on the night of the lecture. Individual tickets: Members $10 and non-members $15.
