Honolulu’s favorite burlesque troupe, Cherry Blossom Cabaret, presents their fifth theatrical production Femme Capulet for two weekends only on June 17-18 & 24-25 at The ARTS at Marks Garage. Femme Capulet is their first collaboration with director, Troy M. Apostol.

CBC’s Femme Capulet is an experimental take on Romeo and Juliet, where Shakespeare’s original text is mashed-up with song and dance medleys in the style of Baz Luhrman's Moulin Rouge. The tale of the star-cross’d lovers is set in the burlesque house known as Femme Capulet, where two worlds, burlesque and hip-hop, collide. Can love triumph against familial obligation, hatred, and even time? Magical Mercutio knows… This production will combine acting, dance, burlesque, aerial, street dance and singing.

Femme Capulet, is a follow-up to CBC’s previous burlesque/theatrical productions; VarieTease: Carnal Carnival (2011), VarieTease: Cabaret Carnival (2008), VarieTease: Feast of the Gods (2009) and VarieTease: Alice in Chinatown (Spring & Fall 2010) all wildly successful sold-out runs.
This is director, Troy M. Apostol’s fourth version of Femme Capulet and first version with a burlesque/hip-hop twist. Former productions have have included; Femme Capulet: Romeo and Juliet Remixed (2007), Femme Capulet: Romeo and Juliet Remixed (2006), Femme Capulet (2005).

Femme Capulet plays at 7:30pm on June 17-18 & 24-25 at The ARTS at Marks Garage. Age 18 and over is suggested. Tickets are available at the door 30 minutes before show time for $25. The ARTS at Marks Garage is located at 1159 Nu‘uanu Ave. on the corner of Nu‘uanu Avenue and Pauahi Street near the historic Hawaii Theatre.

Although tickets may be sold out online, a small amount of tickets will be available at the door 30 minutes before show time. You must buy in person at door the night of the event. Tickets cannot be reserved over the phone once sold-out online.

Doors will be locked 1 minute before showtime start! Do not get locked out! Note: Tickets bought online are non-refundable. Doors open at 7p. Seating is on a first come - first serve basis. If you are locked out, your ticket may be sold.
