Most people think of their birthdays as a time of receiving. What is bigger on your birthday than working to save the lives of others? Cause It's My Birthday (http://causeitsmybirthday.com) is a 7-city tour to celebrate the 30th birthdays of Doug Campbell and Sloane Berrent and raise awareness and donations to purchase malaria nets to be distributed through Netting Nations (http://nettingnations.org/), a 501(c)3 organization.
The birthday week and fundraiser is from October 3rd-9th with the first party in New York City and continuing to Miami, New Orleans, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco and ending in Los Angeles. It's more than a birthday party - it's using a birthday as a platform for change, and a chance to get involved.
100% of donations go towards the purchase and distribution of malaria nets & are tax-deductible through our nonprofit partner, Netting Nations, a 501(c)3 organization.
You can see the full invite here: http://team-sf.eventbrite.com/ Make sure to get your tickets now as there are a limited quantity. Even if you can’t come consider making a donation – even $5 would be great - it's a city competition between the 7 cities and we want to show San Francisco to be the philanthropic powerhouse it is.
Hope to see you Thursday!!
