Casting "LEADER OF THE PACK" for a summer musical May 31, 2011

WOODBURY LIGHTS THEATER, under the auspices and supervision of the Woodbury United Methodist Church, is casting LEADER OF THE PACK on May 31 & June 1 from 7 - 10pm at 577 Woodbury Road in Woodbury NY 11797. Call backs will be on June 4 from 10am - 1pm. Be prepared to sing, read & move. Prepare 32 measures of a song NOT from the show but 50s or 60s style (can be popular / rock & roll / or show music) in your key and provide sheet music for a musical director/accompanist that has been provided for (no recorded music/accompanying allowed for this cast call). This music should show off your vocal range. Performances are 8/5 8pm, 8/6 8pm, 8/7 3pm, 8/12 8pm, 8/13 8pm, 8/14 3pm. There is no participation fee for this production. Performance space is air conditioned.

Minimum age is 12; there is NO maximum age. Adults should be willing to work with people of all ages. Middle and HIgh School students must pass their grade / tests; if REQUIRED to attend summer school, participant will be allowed to leave the production.

Rehearsals will generally be weekday nights starting Monday 6/6 from 7 - 10pm with some dance rehearsals scheduled for Saturday mornings. During the regular school year, if students have classes / tests / finals, these participants may leave the rehearsal at 9pm for studying / preparation. Once the regular school year ends, there may be additional rehearsals on Sunday nights from 7 - 9pm.

All members of the staff have passed background checks as required by Woodbury United Methodist Church.
