Cascadia Convergence 2007 takes place October 26-27 at the Seattle Center. The theme is ‘Climate Action and Citizen Engagement' in concert with Mayor Greg Nickels' Climate Action Summit and other sustainability-related events during “Green October” These events combine to make a local, regional and national statement of high visibility - potentially a watershed moment - about the urgency of climate change and sustainability.

Cascadia Convergence 2007 on October 26-27 will showcase community work and climate action solutions to emphasize what's working. Our opening event on October 26 at Town Hall features guest speaker David Suzuki who will address “Sustainability within a Generation”. The full day program on October 27 is offered in co-sponsorship with the Seattle Center and features community- wide meetings to address climate action. We’ll address the many ways we can act and collaborate to support progress toward sustainability using a bioregional framework. Local initiatives gain support and expand participation from being showcased. Businesses and citizens are attracted to participate by the exhibits, public demonstrations, education, media (KOMO 4 is our media partner), special events, and more.
