Caruso and the Quake, Opera, Theatre July 23, 2010

Ignacio Jarquin gives us Enrico Caruso’s escape form the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906. He faces not only his collapsing hotel room, fires and the army gun-powdering the city, but also his own ghosts. Beautiful storytelling and live opera from Puccini, Rossini and Leoncavallo combine to reveal the heart behind the legend.
