POWER FORD OF TORRACE PRESENTS 2nd ANNUAL BACK TO THE TRACKS CAR AND AIRPLANE SHOW APRIL 4th 2009

- Community Awareness Program

Torrance Ca. Power Ford of Torrance presents the 2nd Annual " Back to the Tracks" Car Show on April 4th 2009 at 3311 Pacific Coast Hwy Torrance, CA 90505. Open to the public free starting at 10:30 am. * All classic, muscle cars, hot rod and sports cars, all makes and models will be welcome to enroll in the show.



Back to the Tracks is a community awareness program as to the dangers of street racing. The program encourages car enthusiast to bring their cars to a controlled racetrack environment where they can test the limits safely, lawfully and off the streets.

* Music from the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s

* "People’s Choice" award trophies will be presented.

*Food and refreshments provided by the Space Shuttle Café

*Games for kids including "make and take aircrafts"

*Car clinic by Power Ford Technicians



The 2008 car show kicked off the program led by Power Ford Torrance with great response from the community. Over 100 cars were on display supporting the cause. Visitors enjoyed the music, food, games and got an opportunity to vote for their favorite car.



Proceeds from the show will benefit the Western Museum of Flight in Torrance to help them continue their vital work with our community’s children. The museum which is located conveniently located behind Power Ford of Torrance will be open to visitors were historic aircraft and memorabilia will be on display.



Supporters of the program include the Rolling Hills Covenant Church, AROSC (Alfa Romeo Owners of Southern California.



The NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) will be participating who also are very active in the community with programs that encourage people to drag race their street cars at local tracks.
