After two sold out seasons at the Sydney Opera House, the inimitable Parisian cabaret artiste Caroline Nin brings her much-loved oeuvre to Riverside Theatres on Saturday 1 September at 7.30pm for one night only. The show is a window into the tragic but inspiring life of Edith Piaf, a woman whose strength of character, determination and powerful voice triumphed over adversity.
This frank and tender tribute to France's most famous chanteuse is a spine-tingling and moving revelation as she uses her eloquent, chiselled features, perfect diction and spirited singing to breathe new life into familiar anthems. Nin delivers famous songs such as La vie en Rose, Hymne a l'amour and Padam.
"Edith Piaf has intrigued me for as long as I can remember. Her voice and even more so her extraordinary life coming from extreme poverty to the world stage and along the way enjoying great joy but also heartbreak and tragedy. Through her songs and stories about her life I aim to share my love affair with the legend that is Piaf,” said Caroline Nin
