Carlos Mencia, superstar/stand-up comedian, is undoubtedly one of today’s most lauded entertainers and feared comics. Mencia is returning to his comedy club roots. Starting early August, Mencia will climb aboard a tour bus, and hit the road, headlining 29 comedy clubs in 29 days across the country. Providing a more intimate standup setting for both he and his audiences, Mencia will deliver his usual take-no-prisoners comedy in preparation for his new Comedy Central special which will shoot in late 2010. “Mind of Mencia” ran for five seasons on Comedy Central and was one of the strongest shows in the network’s history. Carlos recently connected with a film audience with the Fox Searchlight feature release “Our Family Wedding” starring opposite Forrest Whitaker and America Ferrara. Carlos’s movie roles also include starred opposite Ben Stiller and Michelle Monaghan in the Farrelly Brothers’ hit feature film, “The Heartbreak Kid” (DreamWorks). His television credits include “In Living Color,” “The Arsenio Hall Show,” “Moesha” and “An Evening at the Improv.” Mencia is planning a return to television, confirming a pilot deal with ABC for his own sitcom. Whether it is man-on-the-street interviews, studio comedy, commercial parodies, or nationwide sold-out tours, Mencia demonstrates an extraordinary ability to connect with a diverse audience. With standup, film and tv, Mencia’s career continues to flourish, making him one of Hollywood’s most sought after talents to date!
