Carlo Petrini, President and Founder of the Slow Food Movement, presents his new book "Slow Food Nation: Why Our Food Should Be Good, Clean and Fair". With a foreword by Alice Waters, the book offers models for reforming the way food is grown, prepared, and eaten, while outlining the different routes by which we can take back control of our food.
Mr. Petrini will be introduced by Don Novello, aka Father Guido Sarducci, local comedian and former writer/actor for Saturday Night Live.
A reception generously provided by Chef Alessandro Cartumini of Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley and Frey Vineyards will follow the presentation.
