On Sunday, November 2nd, an exhibition by Los Angeles artist CARLO MARCUCCI will open at LA ARTCORE with a preview reception for the artist from 3 to 5 p.m.
LA Artcore is open Wednesdays through Sundays, 12 to 5 p.m.
The exhibit will feature sculptures from the “Wheatfields” and "Wheatboxes" series (wall-mounted minimalist sculptures created with pasta) and a selection of other recent experiments inspired from such series - such as the "Inexistent Monuments" (photographs that portray large monumental structures that are imaginary and digitally created with the use of existing Wheatfields sculptures), "Going Against The Grain" (small geometric rice mosaics), "Staples" and "Line Drawing" (created with office products such as mechanical pencil refills, staples and cardboard) and "Redcage" (free-standing acrylic on cardboard painting).
Carlo Marcucci is exhibiting his work (Wheatfields LXXII) in “Second Lives: Remixing The Ordinary”, an exhibition featuring the unusual works of 50 artists from all over the world presently on display at the new Museum of Arts and Design in New York City.
