Caribbean Travel & Cultural Fair June 11, 2009

Caribbean Travel and Cultural Fair at The Manhattan Center, conveniently located in mid-town Manhattan will be the site for the Caribbean Travel and Cultural Fair. Tabletop booths manned by Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) member countries and private sector partners will display promotional materials, indigenous products and other items representative of the Caribbean. There will be arts and crafts demonstrations throughout the day as well as Caribbean food-tastings by Celebrity Chefs from member booths. Governments and private sector members of the CTO support the participation of dancers, stilt walkers, singers and bands, who perform throughout the day. The Fair features:

A Caribbean Vacation Mart where vacations at specially reduced prices will be available for purchase. Special emphasis is being placed on the sale of vacation packages to Caribbean destinations and travel professionals will be onsite to assist members of the public who might be interested in taking a break from the stresses of everyday life and visit one of these close-to-home welcoming destinations.

A Caribbean Wedding sponsored by MarryCaribbean.com and Caribbean Bridal Expo. The lucky couple exchanging vows will receive honeymoons in a romantic Caribbean destination.

The tentative program for the Caribbean Fair follows:

8:00 am – 9:30 am Set-Up
10:00 am Fair Opens
9:00 am – 1:30 pm Entertainment
1:30 pm – 2:30 pm Wedding
2:30 pm – 4:30 pm Entertainment
4:30 pm – 6:00 pm Breakdown of Caribbean Travel and Cultural Fair
