With the aging population in Nassau County, the Junior League of Long Island and Christ Church have identified a strong need in the community to support caregivers by providing information and initiating a caregiver support group. As a first step, the Junior League is hosting this February conference to provide information, subsequent to which Christ Church of Manhasset will be begin hosting a caregiver support group, open to all the community.
District Attorney, Kathleen Rice, will speak about the impact the aging of our population will have on Nassau County now and in the future. Kathi Morse, L.C.S.W., A.C.S.W., will discuss her research on caregivers, the stress they cope with, and the benefits of their being in a support group.
