Captioned talk by two underground writers May 8, 2007

Soho Theatre has agreed to provide live captions at an interesting talk on Tuesday 8 May:

Stewart Home (Down and Out in Shoreditch and Hoxton) and Iain Sinclair (London: City of Disappearances) discuss the ongoing transmogrification of London in Home's recently published Memphis Underground and Sinclair's 'anthology of absence', the City of Disappearences.

In this, the first talk in the series, they will look at the obliteration of London history, the reforgotten characters who populate the metropolis in both myth and memory, and the psychogeographical basis on which new emotional maps of this picaresque urban landscape are constantly being drawn up.
