Please mark your calendar to attend the CAPSULE design festival in Hayes Valley Park on Sunday, October 17th from 11am-6pm. Who doesn't love a free outdoor street festival with warm sunshine, local fashion, great music, and everybody's favorite thing: a photo booth.

THE MUSIC:

We want to make sure that you shake your ass, stomp your feet, and clap your hands while you shop at CAPSULE.

Starting the street festival off on the good foot, we are thrilled to have members of Jazz Mafia play from 11:00am-1:30pm before they head off to Treasure Island.

Then, with one zurna, one davul, three clarinets, and a riqq, MWE will entertain us with their Middle Eastern marching band from 1:30-2:30pm. (Note: I don't know what MWE stands for, either.)

Brent Bishop and the Party Poopers will be playing from 2:30-5:00pm. Please don't let the name fool you, as Bishop's musical friends are truly positivity-inducing.

Closing the festival from 5:00-6:00pm are The Loyd Family Players, whom SF Weekly calls "Half band, half bateria, all samba monster."

THE FASHION

"Over 100 designers, fine and graphic artists, and shops — many who rarely leave the Internet — will materialize on the physical plane Sunday, Oct. 17. The result? A one-day free market in the open air of Hayes Valley Park, which looks like San Francisco in a dream about itself but shops like you at your first legitimate flea market."

CAPSULE attendees can expect to fall in love with locally made women's and men's couture along with upcycled jewels and accessories, steampunk-inspired wear, tons of graphic T's, baby and kids clothes, plus designer housewares and lifestyle products. You might meet the designers you see on the labels at your favorite shops, but without the retail markup.
