About the Capoeira Festival:
The Brazilian Embassy will be celebrating the recognition of Capoeira as a Brazilian Cultural Heritage with the release of a magazine on its origins and development. The event will have the presence of Mestre Joao Grande and Mestre Camisa, as well as other capoeira masters from Brazil and Capoeira Schools in the area. There will be a discussion between groups that follow the two main lines of Capoeira: "Angola and Regional". If you play capoeira come dressed to join a big "roda" and to participate in workshops. It is a free event and open to the public.
