The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) invites you to the second of four public meetings to discuss the Capitol Hill Transportation Study. The study area is bounded by G Street NE on the north, Southeast Freeway on the south, 1st Street NE/SE on the west, and 19th Street NE/SE on the east.
What is the purpose of this study?
The study is investigating existing transportation conditions in Capitol Hill and assessing the impact of proposed future development on transportation infrastructure in the study area. The study will:
? Consider short-term, mid-term, and long-term options to enhance safety and reduce speed on residential streets
? Identify enhancements to pedestrian and bicycle connections
? Assess the feasibility of converting one-way roads into two-way roads
? Examine the reversible lane operation of Constitution Avenue
What is the purpose of this Open House?
The study team will display the findings from data collection so far, discuss the Existing Conditions report, and answer your questions about the project.
