Solas Nua, the only contemporary Irish arts organization in the United States, is proud to present the Capital Irish Film Festival in conjunction with the Irish Film Institute, Culture Ireland and Reel Ireland, with generous support from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The film selection for this year’s festival features a diverse range of Irish directors working in cinema today, and audiences can experience a wealth of genres and styles from features and documentaries to animation, shorts and Irish language entries.

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4th AT 9PM.
Short: A Film from My Parish directed by Tony Donoghue.
Feature: The Frontline directed by David Gleeson.

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5th AT 8PM
Short: Joyriders directed by Rebecca Daly.
Feature: Adam & Paul directed by Leonard Abrahamson.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6th AT 3PM
Short: Ding Dong Denny’s History of Ireland directed by Cathal Gaffney.
Feature: O’Donoghue’s Opera directed by Kevin Sheldon and Fleá Ceoil directed by Louis Marcus

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 6th AT 8PM.
Short: Marion agus an Banphrionsa directed by Melanie Clark Pullen.
Feature: Small Engine Repair directed by Niall Heery.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 7th AT 3PM.
Short: The White Dress directed by Vanessa Gildea.
Feature: Oileán Thoraí directed by Patrick Collins.
