The always-astounding Esmeralda Enrique Spanish Dance Company brings the fire and soul of Spanish flamenco dance and music to the stage once again with the world premiere of Cantos de la Tierra, translated as Songs of the Earth, a powerful and imaginative work created and performed to honour humanity’s connection with the earth and its elements. Choreographer, Esmeralda Enrique, a multiple Dora Award nominee, has been a driving force of flamenco in Canada for the past 26 years. In her latest explosive work, she and her company of fiercely powerful dancers, musicians and special guest artists from Spain, compellingly underline the magnificence and forgiveness of the earth in a masterful presentation of pure flamenco dance, song and music.
